TSI/DSG Mount Kit - VW MK2 | MK3 | Corrado

The Fabless TSI/DSG Mount Kit provides a solution to install Gen 1, 2 & 3 TSI Engines with a DQ250 Transmission in a MK2, Corrado or MK3.

Available in both subframe mounting options; MK2/Corrado G60 subframe or MK3/Corrado VR6 subframe. 

Our mounts are stronger and stiffer than the factory mounts while also providing some adjustability on the Block Mount. The block mount has two positions; factory height & up to a 16mm drop (16mm lower setting with MK3/Corrado VR6 Subframe, 8mm drop with MK2/Corrado G60 subframe selection). The lower setting on the mount is useful for additional hood clearance but it also helps to level out the engine appearance without impacting the axle fitment. 

These mounts keep the engine in OEM position, which means DSG axles on the market are compatible. 

NOTE: The subframe cup has to be moved back to clear the inner CV on the DSG transmission.

Transmissions

• DSG DQ250

DQ250 Transmissions out of a MK6, MK7 or newer may come with an electronic diff (VAQ) that needs to be removed in order for the Block Mount to clear the transmission. The VAQ diff bolts right off the transmission and the cup can be installed back onto the transmission. This produces the same result as an DSG DQ250 without an electronic diff.

In AWD/quattro applications a MK2/Corrado G60 Subframe is needed for clearance for MK2 & Corrado. Otherwise modification is required for the axle to clear the engine perch on the subframe.

Axles

Although our mounts are OEM position, custom axles are required to accommodate the transmission. The DSG is larger and uses larger inner CV's compared to the factory 02A Transmission in the MK2. Any axles on the market intended for an DSG in a MK2, MK3 or Corrado application will work with our mount positioning.
